The 100 m false-colour image of 12 April 2016 shows the Rio de Janeiro agglomeration in grey, with the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches visible as thin yellowish strikes. East of Rio, the Baía de Guanabara is recognised, while southwest of the city the Restinga de Marambaia – an area with coastal sandspit and tropical broadleaf forest – can be seen.
