Waw an Namus, Libya

The 100 m false-colour image of 11 October 2015 shows us Waw an Namus, in the southern Fezzan region of southern Libya. A volcanic field of dark basaltic tephra with flow extends up to 10–20 kilometres around the caldera. The dark field's vast size allows it to be easily seen from space.
