Beijing is located in the agriculturally important North China Plain and bordered in the north by the mountains that are home to the world-famous Great Wall. Closer to the coast and in the close-ups on the left, we find Tianjin, the largest coastal city of the country and an economic gateway to China’s mainland, particularly Beijing. Two other cities are further shown in the close-ups: Tangshan, located further northeast and Cangzhou in the southwest.
