The 100 m false color image of 4 august 2015 shows a large wildfire (~50 km²) in northeastern California that spread rapidly because of the strong, dry wind. The bright red pixels indicate the fire, while the accompanying smoke and ash plumes appear as light-blue. The light-green areas in the lower-right part indicate irrigated agricultural fields.
