Caspian Sea

The 100 m image of 1 February 2017shows us part of a frozen Caspian Sea, the largest enclosed inland body of water on Earth. It is in an endorheic basin located between Europe and Asia. The northern portion of the Caspian Sea typically freezes in the winter, and in the coldest winters ice forms in the south as well.
