Between April 8 and April 13, the European Geophysics Union (EGU) holds its annual General Assembly meeting, a large forum for researchers in all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. Last year’s edition attracted an impressive 14 496 participants from 107 countries, many under the age of 35.
This year, PROBA-V team will be represented in the booth from the European Space Agency (ESA), to demonstrate the exploitation platform (MEP) and its thematic extension for food security applications. So if you’re attending the conference, make sure to drop by!
As always, the EGU assembly is hosted in the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria. This August 2017 image at 100 m resolution clearly depicts the city in grey, split in two by the mighty and meandering Danube River (dark blue).
The Austrian capital boasts a long history in music and architecture, renowned as international conference venue and as a major centre for science and IT.
