From January 25 up to February 4, China celebrates its Spring Festival announcing the new Year of the Rat. To this occasion, our beloved PROBA-V satellite takes a peek at the capital of the People’s Republic, Beijing, one of the most populous cities in the world.
With each new year, many resolve to get their body into shape. The same can be said for EuroGEO, Europe’s contribution to the inter-governmental Group on Earth Observations (GEO) and its global system of systems (GEOSS).
To this end, research projects like e-Shape work on the technologies to access and use EO data, like PROBA-V’s observations, for monitoring crops, for instance through a suite of Essential Agriculture Variables (EAVs).
