In the east, a handful of streams originate in the mountains of Charaoelach and feed into the river. In the northwest, the Chekanovsky Ridge is home to various types of vegetation and follows the river further downstream to its delta. In the (south)west, clouds or haze obscure the image, though a number of frozen, smaller water bodies (white spots) can be seen.
