Bohai Bay, China

The Bohai Bay in China is the easternmost extension of the Yellow Sea and is also the southernmost sea on the Northern Hemisphere (at latitude 38-39oN) that is frequently covered with sea ice during winter. At the Bohai Bay several major ports are located, as is visible by the land extensions in the image. The bay contains considerable amounts of sediments and algae, which can be seen from the greenish colours.
