Laguna Llancanelo, Argentina

The 100 m false-colour image of 28 February 2016 shows us Laguna Llancanelo, Argentina within the arid region near the Andes in the limit between the regions of Cuyo and Patagonia. Llancanelo Lake is a provincial nature reserve. It hosts a variety of bird species, including flamingos, black-necked swans, herons and ducks. In the top right, one can notice the Atuel river, which flows along a plain, becoming wider and meandering until reaching the Desaguado River.
